"Poésica" in The Porciúncula

Juan Gayá and Miguel Montserrat triumph with "Poésica"

Rafel Calle

Juan Gayá and Miguel Montserrat triumphed with Poésica, their fusion of poetry and music, which on this occasion they offered in the Porciúncula on the occasion of the reopening of the museum, after having been in a fruitful period of renovation for the last two years and medium.

The place of the act was the Porciúncula, school, church and Franciscan museum, located in El Arenal, where the assistants filled the rooms set up for the poetic-musical event. Say that The term Porciúncula refers to the site where the Franciscan movement began and means "small piece of land"; it was mentioned for the first time in a document dating from 1045, currently in the archives of the Cathedral of San Rufino, in Assisi.

To all this, from my perspective as a humble poet, I can only rejoice very much for the initiative of my friends Juan Gayá and Miguel Montserrat, who in their Poésica show merge poetry and music to the delight of both arts. Juan, at the piano, accompanies Miguel in the recitation of poems that emanate from the great works of Costa i Llobera, Alcover, Salvá ...

"Poetry and music to the rejoicing of both arts"

Miguel, with that talent that only great rhapsodies have, manages to thrill the audience, through a great timbre, a very clean vocalization and an unapproachable feeling; while Juan interprets classical pieces, including La Balanguera, very chosen (Mozart, Chopin ...), which accompany the recitation wonderfully, so that between the two they create artistic synergies capable of lighting the wick of charm among the public, so that it takes place a true explosion of art.

"Between the two they create artistic synergies capable of igniting ..."

Juan Gayá, pianist; Miguel Montserrat, rhapsody; Sebastián Ramis, Bishop Emeritus of Guamachaco, Peru; Salvador Cabot, director of the Porciúncula museum; Jaume Puigserver Capellá, provincial superior of the Franciscan order. nationwide), and Pere Ribot Mestre, superior of the Porciúncula.
